Afreen Haider, a class XII student of Delhi Public School, Srinagar bagged bronze medal in the 1st Women International Taekwondo Championship held in Nepal on April 5th and 6th.
The event was jointly organized by Nepal Taekwondo Association and Women’s Empowerment Committee of Nepal.
Earlier, Afreen won gold medal twice in the Khelo India State Level taekwondo championship and the taekwondo championship organized by Federation of India in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council. On both the occasions, Afreen was felicitated by the Forest Minister, Chaudhary Lal Singh.
